Following false allegations of forced conversions by local religious extremists, a prayer service in the Mau district was disrupted as seven Christians, including a pastor and three women, were detained by the police. Responding to the incident which was reported on the UCF Helpline on 10th October, ADF India allied lawyers assisted the Christians in getting bail. The women were released the same week, while the police kept the men (including the pastor) on a 14-day remand after which, they too were released.

We request your prayers for justice to prevail in the state of Uttar Pradesh where 66 such incidents of religious persecution have surfaced since January 2021.
