Churches Coming Together As One Community For An Hour Of  Prayer Everyday From 9th August Till 21st August

The United Nations recently declared 22nd August as "International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief", among other matters; A day to recall the failures of many nations to guarantee the right to religious freedom as adopted by UN General Assembly in 1948.

One-third of the World-population right now is facing some form of religious persecution. Women face the double persecution of being a Christian minority and of being a female. India has entered the top 10 most dangerous countries in the World Watch list on persecution.

As a ministry working to protect the persecuted Christians, ADF India proposes to the Churches across India to come together for an hour of prayer between August 16-21st, 2019 culminating with the main event on August 22nd, 2019. The churches can pray together for kin of martyrs, rehabilitation and compensation of victims, the release of innocent people languishing in jails, speedy settlement of cases, courage for church leaders in times of persecution, and governments to take all necessary steps to prevent recurrence of violent acts linked to religion or belief.
