National Director
 

Siju Thomas serves as the Director of ADF (Alliance Defending Freedom) India. A faith based legal advocacy organization – ADF’s work began in response to the targeted violence meted out against Christians in Kandhamal, Odisha in 2008. 

Siju is an Advocate who specializes in constitutional and criminal law. He has litigated on several issues of public importance like right of undertrials to a fair trial, access to alcohol and public health, and death penalty cases, as part of his private practice. 

His foray into religious freedom work began in 2017 when he joined ADF India. Over the years Siju has been instrumental in providing critical legal assistance to the most vulnerable people, targeted for their faith. He helped to set up ADF’s strategic litigation team which is involved in about 40 of the most prolific and sensitive religious liberty cases before the Supreme Court of India, including the challenge against India’s draconian anti-conversion laws. 

Siju earned his LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He is a Fellow of the prestigious Blackstone program of Alliance Defending Freedom.
